While vacationing in an expensive holiday resort, a medical
doctor ran into an old lawyer friend, by the beach. After exchanging
pleasantries, they decided to go have some drinks at the beach bar, and catch
up with old times.
Haven had a few rounds of drinks, the doctor asked, “How are
you able to afford a holiday at this resort?” The lawyer smiled mischievously
then replied, "Remember that lousy real estate I bought some time ago?
Well, it caught fire, so here I am with the fire insurance proceeds.”
And after one more round of drinks, the lawyer asked, “And
how are you able to afford a vacation in a place like this?” The doctor soberly
replied, "Remember that lousy real estate I had by the great river? Well,
the river overflowed, and here I am with the flood insurance proceeds."
The lawyer looked puzzled. "Gee. How do you start a
flood?" He asked.
