Being A Role Model

Dwight D. Eisenhower said, “Pull the string, and it will follow you wherever you wish. Push it, and it will go nowhere at all.”

So is being a role model, the most powerful form of education. Youngsters need good models more than they need critics. It's one of a parent's greatest responsibilities and opportunities. If you want others to follow your example, don't criticize or cajole them. Rather, live your own life in a manner that convincingly demonstrates both the virtue and success of your way of life. “May we live so that when people think of fairness, caring and integrity, they think of us.”
