The other day when I tried so hard to console a brother who seems to
always have the misfortune of being jilted by women, all he kept asking was,
“Why me, after all I do for them? Why are women so unpredictable? Why are women
so rebellious? Why are women so insatiable?” So I said, “My brother, you don’t
have to kill yourself over questions that may never have answers.” He then
shook his head, and just sat there staring at nothingness.
Then I continued, “Sometimes I feel they deserve our sympathies;
considering that they maybe aggrieved by the fact that Adam spared only one rib
for their creation. And that may have been the genesis of their rebellion that led
Eve to disobey God by talking to the snake and eating the apple. And their
rejection of even God’s gifts, continues in their shaving off their eyebrows
and drawing their own lines, replacing their nails with artificial, and repackaging
their breasts and buttocks.” And I concluded, “So my brother, be consoled in the
fact that even God Himself, can’t satisfy women!”
