It is important to appreciate that, to love yourself is not
as much a sin as to neglect, ignore or not to accept yourself for who you are.
When you love yourself more than material things, your self-esteem comes to life,
and you become happier. Happiness attracts happiness because, “Laugh, and the
world laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone.”
When you love yourself, you feel internal peace, and your
mind becomes lighter and creative. So, loving material things more than you
love yourself is self-sabotaging. How can you love your neighbour, if you don’t
love yourself? You can’t give what you don’t have. Since charity, they say,
begins at home; and home being yourself, start by knowing and loving yourself,
first. You don’t need anyone else to validate you. Because no one can ever know
you, more than you know yourself.
The more you love yourself, the more your inner stability
and self-esteem increase, and the more creative you become. You become really happy
and feel fulfilled. And since the world gravitates to only happy people, the
world will begin to feel you deserve the good things of life.
