A grandfather was reading his granddaughter a bedtime story,
when the little girl looked thoughtfully at her grandfather’s face and touched
his wrinkled cheek. From time to time, she would take her eyes off the book and
reach up to touch his wrinkled cheek. The grandfather feeling this was
affectionate smiled every time she touched his cheek.
Then she started touching her grandfather’s cheek and alternately
stroking her own cheek, then his again. Finally she spoke up. "Grandpa,
did God make you?" She asked. "Yes sweetheart, God made me a long
time ago." He answered.
She paused for a while, and asked, "Grandpa, did God
make me too?" "Yes, indeed, honey, God made you just a little while
ago." He replied.
Feeling their respective faces again, she observed,
"God's getting better at it, yes?"
